Position Description:
-Work within the new Federal Tax Consulting Practice providing large project services and expertise to clients in the New York and New Jersey marketplace.
-Technical analysis in R&D credits and deductions, accounting methods, inventory or the 199 domestic manufacturing deductions.
-Develop client relationships as well as enhance our service delivery with existing clients, focusing on federal tax services.
-Provide timely, high quality client service that consistently meets or exceeds client expectations. As well as provides tax advise that enables clients to increase shareholder value
-Act with respect and dignity in all interaction inside and outside the firm.
Job Requirements:
-The ideal candidate will have significant large engagement managerial experiences within a large professional service firm
-To be considered candidates should possess the following experiences:
-Three years of experience in either a multinational accounting or law firm providing tax consulting services.
-Minimum of one year of providing large project tax consulting services (i.e., Research and Experimentation Credit Studies, Accounting Method/Inventory Studies, Cost Segregation/Fixed Asset Review Studies, Earnings and Profits Studies, etc.)
-A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-The following experiences are preferred, but not required:
-CPA designation in either New York or New Jersey
-A Masters in Taxation or LLM Degree in Taxation
-An MBA degree

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Fiduciary Tax Accountant is responsible for the efficient, accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all clients filing of estate, gift, individual and fiduciary tax returns as well as judicial accountings. Qualified candidate will be able to work independently and will have experience in filing 1041's, 1040's, 709's and 706's, and fiduciary state tax returns.
It is expected that our Fiduciary Tax Accountants:
Prepare estate fiduciary income tax returns along with the decedents final individual income tax return.
Prepare trust fiduciary income tax returns and individual income tax returns assigned.
Prepare fiduciary accountings (not mandatory but preferable).
Engage in special projects related to client matters involving tax.
Keep abreast of tax changes and issues that could affect our clients.
Competencies of our Fiduciary Tax Accountants:
Demonstrates the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
Skilled in Problem Solving i.e. follows directions and knows when to ask for help
Completes deliverables in a timely manner.
